SUEUA.com has finally been launched! Months of busy-ness (laziness?) have come back to bite me and I've had to put this site up over the course of about 10 hours in time for the alleged O-Week rush. There had better be a rush.
The site's not perfect yet, but a pretty good outline has been sketched...
Content: A lot of the content from the First Year Handbook has been included - well worth the read even for final year students. All those email addresses openly displayed will be obfuscated soon, with any luck.
Photos: You know there will be millions of them - so far I've managed to stick up one album of the Slip & Slide BBQ from last year - many, many more will come.
Forum: I'll be sticking in a phpBB3 forum over the next few weeks. Just think - you could talk about uni subjects when you'd otherwise be busy enjoying yourself.
Event Calendar: The central database of all Engineering Societies' functions - lets you know what's going on and should help to reduce clashes for organisers. Society executives - I'll be in contact.
Course Reviews: Again, coming soon - as soon as I write it that is (say exam time when I've got things to be distracted from) - this will be a way for students to review the subjects they've taken to let future students know what they're in for. Particularly useful for those elective subjects.
More: I'm up for suggestions - if you've got ideas, let me and/or the SUEUA executive know!
