BeerandBooks.jpgOnce you have worked your way through the continual assignments, labs and lectures, the time has come for STUVAC.  It’s a week that you use to help study for your exams.  Don’t forget to get your exam timetable off MyUni and work out what you need to study and when.  Treat your STUVAC like another project, planning it so that you will cover enough topics over the week leading into the exam period to ensure that you maximise marks.

An issue that always pops up is “What sections should I study?” A good guide comes from the assignments or quizzes you completed through the semester, as well as the topics your lecturer has put most emphasis on.  Get past exam papers from the lectures or from the library and tackle them under exam-like pressures gives you essential practice. And make sure you cover all topics sufficiently (even the ones you disliked), as the exam normally contains all aspects encountered.

If you are still getting the jitters, don’t be afraid to ask someone – before the exam, of course. Lecturers, tutors, senior students and friends will be there to lend a helping hand. In the end, the aim is to successfully pass the exam, so if you prepare well, they’ll be a breeze.
